Sites were poorly numbered if at all and the hookups were not as advertised, that is some sites had just electic, some elec and water, some just elec and sewer, some just sewer with the water not working. About 3 miles of very narrow, dusty and rough road into campground and that continued within the camp. Dogs were allowed to run loose from the many permanent residents. There is no cell phone signal in the area and no tv reception at all. The only redeeming quality is sites on the south branch of the Potomac river. Again, one site would have electric then a few without and then another with. Quite a poorly set up campground
Forgot in Previous Posting to mention that the water was of very poor quality. Yellow Colored and Low Pressure. The owners dog was one of those running loose with no one nearby and we came across droppings in our walks.
This would be a quiet stay if you are willing to put up with the owner who is in the wrong business. When we called for a reservation for the night, we were told, quote "We do not want overnighters, there is a minimum 3 night stay, if you are planning on staying overnight don't come down our road as you will have to turn around". All this was said in a very unpleasant manner. This is an adult only park with no bath house and no amenities. There are so many more choices in this beautiful area of Georgia.
An adult only park, very quiet and run by a former full timer couple who are very friendly and helpful. About 1/2 mile North of the GA border on Route 69. This is a Passport America campground and the even gave us a reduced price on the weekly rate. About 30 miles from the Alpine village of Helen GA.
Expensive for such a below average park. Although the restrooms were clean, bowls occasionly plugged up, paper ran out, etc and very slow repsonse to problems. Our 30amp box kept losing power and after a week still had not been fixed. About two thirds of the sites are permanent trailers, with many of them in an advanced state of deterioration. Sites were not mowed and generally this seems to be a campground where not much of the income is put back into the park. It's redeeming qualitys are that it is well off the highway and very quiet and the pool is immaculate.
Extra charge for cable $2 and $1 extra to use AC. Another $1 to use a credit card. I agree with above posting and will add that voltage was very low, could not use AC. This is actually called Phil & Annes RV, it is an RV repair with some campsites. The owner told me he can make $70 and hour repairing RV's and didn't want to be bothered cleaning up after people so he closed the bath house permanently, and if I didn't like it I could leave. These people are in the wrong business.
